Here's my fun, quick, EASY mini album I made.

Hope you like my little mini birthday album!
I used the Cricut cartridge, NIFTY FIFTIES, for all the die cuts....

...except the frame which is a cut from STAND & SALUTE.

Several of the pages and layers are dry embossed with the Cuttlebug.

All of the papers and stickers are from Echo Park's HAPPY DAYS paper collection pack.

All sentiment stamps are from Mary's Cardz TV Stamps "Make A Wish" set.

Details for this album are quite lengthy, so I didn't post it here. If you'd like all the details to make an album like this yourself, just shoot me an email, and I'll get them right out to you.

TSQ's Royal Digi Challenge #5

Are you ready for The Scrapbooking Queen's Challenge No. 5?

Our challenge for this month is to make a project with a "Love" theme.
For my project, I made the cutest doggie card using a sketch like the card Sharon of MeeMee's Creations  created below:

Isn't this card just adorable?  There is a story behind this card....I found this card a LONG TIME ago and copied it to my desktop.  I forgot to name the document so it was a series of numbers and I could not remember the person and/or blog that created the card!  Do you ever do that?

This is what I created using Sharon's sketch:

The card is a 5 1/2 by 5 1/2 inch card.  Red background mat is cut at 5 1/4 by 5 1/4.  The pawprint/heart pattern cardstock from the DCWV Pet Stack was cut at 5 inches by 5 inches.  This adorable doggie digi is from Meljen's Designs:  and it is PRE-COLORED!  All I had to do was download it, size it, punch it out with a circle punch, ink around the edges, add Stickles and I was done!

The sentiment "Be mine!" is from Mary at Cardztv Stamp set called "It's a Guy Thing!".

Thank you for coming by and for taking an interest in my projects.  You guys are great!

Cardz TV Challenge #4, Day Three

Whew!  I have been creating up a storm!  I love it when I feel good and have my mojo!

This is the 3rd card I decided to make to celebrate Cardztv Design Team Challenge.  The challenge is to make a masculine card.  Easy....or not so easy?  EASY!

I decided to dig out and dust off my Handyman cartridge.

Tag from Tags Bags Boxes and More cut at 4 1/2 for both shadow and base cut.  Drill cut at 2.50 inches using the Cricut Lite Handyman cartridge, Hammer on inside of card cut at two inches from Handyman cartridge.  All papers used are from Recollections.  Black plaid ribbon from Michael's.

Sentiment "My Guy" and "You're Tee-rific" is from "It's A Guy Thing" stamp set from Mary's Cardz TV Stamps! Click Here to see all her stamps she has to offer. I love them!

I hope the masculine cards that I have created for this challenge help give you ideas for making cards for the men in your life.  These cards can be adapted to almost any occasion.

Thank you so so much for stopping by by blog.  I really appreciate reading your sweet comments.  Each of you inspire me to keep on trucking!

CardzTV Challenge #4, Day Two

Are you having a tee-rific day?  I hope so!  I sure am!  Today is Day Two of Mary at Cardztv Stamps challenge highlighting the "Its A Guy Thing" stamp set.  This stamp set is so applicable to many occasions and is a great set to have on hand for the guy in your life.

I chose to make a card for my son who was recently promoted in rank.  He currently serves in the military.  The badge for this A2 size card was cut at two inches using the Stand and Salute cartridge.  The badge on the inside of the card was cut at .75 inches.

I chose to heat emboss the sentiment "All Star" in gold embossing powder and it looks great!  The stamp stamped and image embossed beautifully.

Sentiment Stamp from "It's A Guy Thing" stamp set from Mary's Cardz TV Stamps! Click Here to see all her stamps she has to offer. I love them!

Sweet 16!

Is everyone having a great week?  I am!
I have a neighbor who is having a Sweet 16 party for her granddaughter.  To celebrate this happy occasion, I decided to make a birthday card and incorporate shade of purple in the card.

A2 size card used with white cardstock.  The background mat measures 4.0 by 5.25 and came from a Colorbok paper pack that I purchased last year at Walmart.  The smaller mat measures 1.75 by 4 and came from the same paper stack.  I took a scrap piece of white cardstock and layered it on top the  smaller mat.  The tennis shoes  were cut at 3.25 inches from the Cricut Lite Slumber Party cartridge.  Ribbon is from my stash.

Sentiment Stamp from "Make A Wish" stamp set from Mary's Cardz TV Stamps! Click Here to see all her stamps she has to offer. I love them!

Have a great day everyone!  Thank you so much for stopping by and leaving a comment!

52 Tags in 2012 - Week #3

Janis over at Pausedreamenjoy.blogspot.com has a fun challenge series going on.  It is called 52 Tags in 2012.  The guidelines are listed below my project and recipe:

Isn't this just the cutest?  The theme this week is "warm and cozy".  These words make me think of my grandma's house and the cat sitting in the chair.  The tag I chose to make is cut from Tags, Bags, Boxes and More at 5 1/4 inches for both the shadow and base cut.  I also used the flip feature to cut a tag for the back of the card.  The chair was cut from the Country Life cartridge at 4 inches.  All papers used are from Basic Grey.

I wrote things on the back of the tag that reminded me of the warm and cozy things in my life.  I just love this series....it has helped me stay more in tune to what is important in my life.

I hope you will find time to play along with Janis in her 52 Tag Series of challenges! Here is a reminder of how to play along....

GUIDELINES:

*New Question or Tag theme posted every Friday.

*Submit your Tag at any time during the year for any week.

*You do NOT have to reveal what you write on the back, but you can if you want to share.

Birthday card

Happy Friday!
The weather here is amazing so I plan on spending most of the day today outside.  Before I "head on out"  I wanted to share my card for today with you.

I made the cupcake from a cartridge that I rarely use.  Not sure why...it is a great cartridge. The cartridge is called Something to Celebrate and is full of great images and phrases for anthing related to a party or celebration.

Cupcake cut at 3.5 inches.  All paper used from scrap drawer.  Rhinestones from stash.

And now....drum roll, please...I am off to see the Wizard...the wonderful Wizard of Oz....just kidding!  Off to enjoy the sunshine!

Have a great day everyone!

Cricut Cards Challenge #100

Here is my submission for Mary's Cricut Cardz Ch#100!

For Cricut Cardz Challenge #100, "It's June in January!" Make a card for any occasion, using any cartridge(s) and using any colors you'd like, with Summer as your theme.

Card base is 6" x 6".
Several of the elements on this card are actually stickers! This includes the glittered sea plants and the fishy.
The tree cut is actually from a friend who sent it to me in the mail. I love getting hugs in the mail.
The sentiment stamp is from stash, & I just colored in the heart red.
Buttons also from stash.
The sunshine is from CREATE A CRITTER!. Love this cartridge.

Thank you so so much for stopping by.  If you get an opportunity, check out this challenge and make a summer card in January!

Kopykat Series #2

Have you ever come across a blog post that you LOVE, copied and saved it, and did not add the name of the person's blog when you saved it?  The card shown above is a perfect example.  I copied this card over a year ago and did not realize that I did not save the name of the person/and/or/blog when I saved it.  I loved the size of the card, the sketch, and the papers she used.  Since there is not a watermark, I do not know who to give credit to so I have not used this sketch or cut to make a card.

Do you ever do that?  I have seen where someone posts on YouTube that they are upset because someone "stole" their idea/creation and they did not receive credit.

What I wonder is......do you really think it was done intentionally?  I would never do this.

If anyone of you knows the person/blog that made this adorable card, please let me know in the comments below...I would love to give this person credit.  And, again, I have NOT scraplifted this card....because I do believe in giving credit where credit is due.

Happy Valentine's Day

Anyone ever in the mood to make a quick card without using the Cricut or a die cutting machine?

I went to Hobby Lobby last week and purchase the dogwood 3D embellishments shown on the card above.  I thought the branches were so pretty and spring like.

This card took less than 5 minutes to make and I thought it turned out so pretty.

All papers were just scraps from my scrap drawer.  The sentiment, "Happy Valentine's Day" is from Cardztv "Ticket Talk" Stamp set.

Hope you are having a spring-like day in your neck of the woods!

Paper Playtime Ch# 65 - TAGS!

Hey, everybody! So glad you stopped by!
Today is the 3rd Monday in the month and that means
that Paper Playtime is starting a brand new Sentiment challenge today!

CH #65 - TAGS! And add a SENTIMENT!
Make a TAG or include a TAG on your project with a SENTIMENT.

Paper Playtime's sponsor this month is one of their very own Design Team Members,

Amy is sponsoring with an awesome kit!

This kit includes: 12 pattern papers; 3 die-cut elements; mini wood stickers; and 2 sticker alphabets!

All you have to do to be eligible to win:
1) Be a FOLLOWER of Paper Playtime
2) Submit a NEW Project (no back links) within the current theme challenge
3) Have a USA shipping address

Here is the TAG I created for this challenge:

This was such an easy tag to create.... because I cheated a little and used a sticker instead of a die cut. But who cares?! I love this happy tag. Doesn't it just make you smile from ear to ear?!

Background papers, Doggie Sticker, and ball sticker all from a PETS paper stack kit from Recollections.
Sun is actually a very cool button. The tag was cut at 4.75 inches using the Tags, Bags Boxes and More Cricut cartridge.  It would be button number 9 on the overlay using the shadow and base cut feature.

"I RUFF you!" and "Happy tails to you!" are both from Mary's Cardz TV Stamps set, "Barks and Bones".

Thanks for stopping by, commenting, and following my blog!
I hope you'll have time to submit your own TAG with a Sentiment
into Paper Playtime's challenge!

Smile!

Smile!  You are on Candid Camera!  I bet some of you young 'uns do not even remember that television show.  It was one of my Mom's favorites.  I am sure that MTV has a similar show now...

So, how do you like my card?  Smile!  This A2 size card was cut at 4 1/4 by 11 and folded in half to make it 4 1/4 by 5 1/2.  "Smile" was cut from the Create A Critter cartridge at 2 inches.  Sun was cut from the same cartridge at 1 3/4 inches.

Hope you have a fabulous Sunday...and don't forget....SMILE!

CardzTV Stamps Ch#3 - Day Two

Are you guys ready for another card?  Cardztv Challenge #3 is January 13, 14, and 15th.  Make a card for any occasion using ONE or ALL of the 3 R's:  Ribbon, Rhinestones, or Rick Rack

For my A2 size card, I used the Sweet Treats cartridge and cut out two of the same image: the cupcake with the heart.  Day One showed the cupcake featured one way and this is the same cupcake that is so pretty in pink!

For this A2 size card, I cut the cupcake at 2.75 inches. The rick rack comes from the Expression 2 Essentials cartridge that is preloaded in the machine and was cut at 2 inches.
The background mat is pink paper from my scraps stash and was embossed with the Candy Stripes Cuttlebug embossing folder.
