Mini Album Blog Hop

Hello my crafty friends!  Today is Happy Wednesday and a few friends decided to have a mini album blog hop just for fun!!  Woo Hoo!  We will each be showcasing mini albums that we have made and I hope this gives each of you lots of cool ideas when making a mini album.

The blog hop starts at Mary's blog.  If you would like to start at the beginning, click HERE.  You should have arrived here from JANIS' blog.  I know she has made a super cute mini!!!  Janis is so talented!

Here are pictures of the mini album that I made.  I purchased a mini album kit from Gabrielle Beck in 2009 off of her Etsy store and modifed it to fit my topic.  It is so nice to have papers, embellishments, brads, buttons, and chipboard already selected and ready to go in one easy kit.  Gabrielle's store is not on Etsy anymore but you can search "mini album kits" if you would like to find one to make.

Here is the mini album I made for this hop.  I made this mini album as a gift to my son, Matt, who is currently serving in the U.S. Army.  I will present this album as a gift to him when he returns.

It is time for another super fun Paper Playtime Challenge!!!  If you need to check out all the super cool information about this challenge and need information about the sponsors, just click HERE!!!

For my project, I made this super nice card, without a die cut, to send to my son:

Janis (pausedreamenjoy.blogspot) is a recent Stampin Up! demonstrator and she made a card recently and used the same stamp as a background on her card.  I loved her card so much that I decided to try the technique too!  If you are interested in any of the awesome Stampin Up! products, you can click HERE to obtain more information.

The stamps I used for this card are from a Hero Arts set that Hero Arts is donating a percentage of the proceeds to an awesome organization called Operation Write Home.  I purchased this stamp set at Simon Says Stamp.

I hope you like my card and I also wish that you guys have the best week possible!  Come play with us!

Happy Monday!  Did everyone have a great weekend?
I certainly did!
Well, let's see...what did I do?  Watched a couple of bloghops...made a few cards...
Did I say barn?  Oh! I did!

While my son is deployed, we are taking care of his horse, Grace.  Grace and Matt go back a long long way.  My son and Grace are best friends.  She grew up with him and "raised" him up to be the cowboy he is today.  So, I made this card to send to him with the picture shown above.

All cuts are from Cricut County Fair cartridge except the sun.  It is from Create a Critter.  The clouds are from a Fiskars Cloud punch.  Little precious chicken sitting on the fence is part of the cut but it was too small so I cut a larger one.  I sure hope my son likes it!

Here is Matt with Ali right before he left

Hope you guys have a great day!!!
