My April Calendar

Every month I create a calendar to put on the wall in my craft room.  Here is my calendar for the month of April:

The calendar base is 12 inches by 12 inches and the paper I selected is from a selection of cardstock that my good friend, Janis, of  PAUSEDREAMENJOY sent to me in a RAK last year.  I just love the bright colors of the flowers on the bottom of the brown cardstock.  The grid for the calendar, days of the week, and the numbers are cut from the Cricut Designer's Calendar cartridge.  I cut the clouds with the sentiments from the Create A Critter 2 Cricut cartridge at 1.25 inches.  The sentiments are from CARDZTV.  I used the Think Spring and For the Birds stamp sets.  All of the stickers are from various packages in my "Spring Embellishment" box.

It is so much fun to make these calendars!

Lazy Days of August

Happy Monday everyone!
I make a calendar for my craft room every month.  I always use Designer's Calendar cartridge to make the grid and numbers for the days of the month and days of each week.  This cartridge also has a lot of extras on it that often go unnoticed.

My calendar pages are always 12 by 12 and I mount them on a magnet board from Creative Memories which is hung on the wall.

Hope everyone has a great week!

January calendar

I purchased the Designer's Calendar cartridge in 2010 and made a calendar page for every month in 2011 and placed it on the wall in my craft room.  I am going to continue the same tradition for 2012 but decided to share the layout I create for each month.

Recipe is as follows:

1 sheet white 12 by 12 cardstock
background mat K& Co. Wintertide paper cut 11.75 by 11.75
Grid for days of the month cut at five inches, background mat behind grid also cut at 5 inches
numbers cut at .75 inches
days of the week cut at 1 inch
"January" cut at 2.25 inches
Snowflakes cut from Potpourri cartridge at 3 inches
Snowman cut from Smiley Cards cartridge at 5 inches

There are a few things I have learned about this cartridge:
It has many many one or two layer images on it
It has some great phrases and a money sign which I love
Do not EVER cut those numbers smaller than three quarters of an inch...they will tear to pieces
Grid cannot be cut smaller than five inches because the letters cannot be cut any smaller than .75 inches
There are many different fonts on this cartridge

For some reason, I really really enjoy making the calendar each month.  Consequently, I have ventured out and have started making layouts.  It is so much fun!

Thank you for dropping by to see my latest creation.  Each one of you inspire me so much!
