CARDZ TV Go To Galz Linky Party #2

Hi!  Happy Friday!

It is time for the CARDZ TV Go-To Galz Linky Party #2!  I had a BLAST with the first party, didn't you?

Our theme for this party is:  Pop it up or Make it Wiggle!!!

Create a card, layout, or craft and use pop dots, foam tape or an Action Wobble on your main image.  How much fun is that?  You have until noon Eastern Standard Time, Thursday, August 29th, to post your name and a link to your creation to Mary's Blog.  You do not have to use CARDZ TV Stamps to link up and enter.  The link up winner, picked by random.org, will receive one set of Cardz TV Stamps!  All of Mary's stamp sets are available HERE.

Here is my project:

Smiley cards cartridge and This & That stamp set

Do not pass go...do not collect $200!  Run past Park Place and head to your craft room and make a fun project!

Bananas!

Happy Thursday!  Just wanted to take a minute to let you know that we will be having a BRAND NEW Challenge tomorrow at Cardz TV!

Now isn't this just the cutest card?  I love it!  I had SO MUCH FUN making it using my scraps!  I forgot to take a picture of the inside of the card, but the sentiment says "You have great taste!"  Isn't that hilarious?

The sentiment stamps are from  Cardztv "FAQ's" and "Foodie Punnies" stamp sets....so much fun!  You can see all of the great stamp sets Mary has for sale HERE.

Thank you so much for stopping by!

It Snowed in my Neck of the Woods!

I live in a state where we do not get much snow.  Well, guess what?  We got snow!
It melted off by noon the next day...but it was so nice to look outside and watch the snow fall from the sky.

To celebrate, I took pictures to mail to a friend and the card shown above.

A2 size card  which measures 5 1/2 by 4 1/4.  Pink background mat cute at 4 by 5 1/4.  Snow pattern paper cut at 3 3/4 by 5 and layered on top of pink mat.  Snowman cut at 4 inches using the Smiley Cards cartridge.

Has it snowed in your neck of the woods today?

January calendar

I purchased the Designer's Calendar cartridge in 2010 and made a calendar page for every month in 2011 and placed it on the wall in my craft room.  I am going to continue the same tradition for 2012 but decided to share the layout I create for each month.

Recipe is as follows:

1 sheet white 12 by 12 cardstock
background mat K& Co. Wintertide paper cut 11.75 by 11.75
Grid for days of the month cut at five inches, background mat behind grid also cut at 5 inches
numbers cut at .75 inches
days of the week cut at 1 inch
"January" cut at 2.25 inches
Snowflakes cut from Potpourri cartridge at 3 inches
Snowman cut from Smiley Cards cartridge at 5 inches

There are a few things I have learned about this cartridge:
It has many many one or two layer images on it
It has some great phrases and a money sign which I love
Do not EVER cut those numbers smaller than three quarters of an inch...they will tear to pieces
Grid cannot be cut smaller than five inches because the letters cannot be cut any smaller than .75 inches
There are many different fonts on this cartridge

For some reason, I really really enjoy making the calendar each month.  Consequently, I have ventured out and have started making layouts.  It is so much fun!

Thank you for dropping by to see my latest creation.  Each one of you inspire me so much!

A Sweet card

The temperature in my neck of the woods is finally changing to cooler weather which puts me in the mood to create fall and Halloween cards.  Brach's Candy Corn is one of my favorite fall candy to purchase and it has been on sale at Walgreens.  I just could not resist the cute Candy Corn cut from the Smiley Cards cartridge which was cut at three inches.  I really wish Provocraft would make this cartridge available to everyone to use.  It is one of my favorites.

Sweet Candy Apple

This card was quick, simple and took less than five minutes to make.  The Candy Apple was cut at 3 inches and the "Sweet" sentiment was cut at 1 inch from the Smiley cards cartridge.  The funky background mat was from my stash.  Candy Apples always remind me of our local county livestock shows and the State Fair.
