Hello Thursday!

Hey Jude!  or is it Dude!  Would you believe that this entire card is made with stickers other than the green strip on the bottom and gingham ribbon?  I love it!  I purchased this huge sticker sheet last year of all these monkeys....they are in cars, in planes, on ferris wheels....love it!  When my son was small, I always called him my little monkey.

The sentiment, "Dude" is from CARDZTV's "My Guy" stamp set.  This stamp set is PERFECT for masculine cards and Father's Day cards.

Hope each and every one of you have a great Thursday!  Be sure to check back with me on Saturday for The Scrapbooking Queen's new stamp release!

The Scrapbooking Queen Featured Designer

Hi Everybody!!!  I am the Featured Designer today for The Scrapbooking Queen.  I have had SO much fun being a part of  The Scrapbooking Queen's Royal Stamp Design Team.  I made a card today and used the Queen's Birthday stamp set.  This stamp set has so many awesome royal sayings on it!  You can check out her amazing stamps and other products HERE.

For my card above, I chose to use the Princess stamp set.

.
inside of card

The bee was cut from Cricut Birthday Bash at 2.75 inches and the bee hive was cut from the Create A Critter cartridge at 3 inches.  I also used googlie eyes and stickles on the card.  The sentiment is from the stamp set shown below:

The Royal Pink Dew Drops were also used for the upper right corner of the card and they are available at the ROYAL SHOPPE.

Hope everyone has a great day today!  Thank you so so much for visiting my blog.

Just a Sweet Note

Happy Tuesday Everyone!  Did you guys get to cook out and eat watermelon for the Memorial Day weekend?  I sure did!

I decided to make a "fun" card today to send to a special someone that is in my Crafty Pen Pal group.

A friend of mine has been sending me cards that measure 4 inches by 4 inches.  I did not realize how fun they are!  I mostly make A2 size cards and decided to "make a change" and create a few cards that are the smaller size.  I used the Sweet Treats Cricut cartridge for the cupcake with paper in my scrap drawer.  The small flower is an embellishment from an old K&Co Dogwood Embellishment pack.  The sentiment, "Sending Sweet wishes your Way! is from The Scrapbooking Queen's Princess' Birthday Stamp Set.  It is just perfect for this cute cupcake!  You can find all of The Queen's stamp sets HERE.

I hope everyone has a special day today and hope you get a chance to visit your craft room.

The Scrapbooking Queen Royal Digi Challenge

It is time......drum roll........for another Royal Digi Challenge!  The Queen has asked us to make a project, card, frame, .....using a "guy" theme for Father's Day or you can make a masculine card for any occasion.

I am one of those people that loves to color digital images but I have trouble with my hands sometimes so I chose to select a pre-colored digital image from Pink Cat Studios!  They have such cute digis and pre-colored ones as well! How easy and fun is that?  I just LOVE pre-colored digis!

This ole' Daddy Cat has his groove ON  and kitties hanging all over him!  So....what is a card without a cute sentiment?  I used the sentiment "It's the King's Birthday is from The Scrapbooking Queen's Royal Stamp line.  You can see all of her amazing stamps HERE.

Come and join us in this super fun challenge!

Sparkling Birthday Wishes

Happy Tuesday my friends and welcome to the beginning of another work week!  Bah, or should I say...Blah Humbug!

I have SO MANY FRIENDS who have birthdays during the month of May!!!  Especially the end of May!  So, I decided to make a very cheerful "sparkling" card for a friend of mine the just loves bling.

I included with this card a bottle of "sparkling" non-alcohol wine (it really tastes like grape juice with club soda added) wrapped in a decorated wine bag.  The wine bag is hot pink and yellow and I thought this cute giraffe would be perfect!

Here is the recipe:

A2 size card, teal blue card base
background mat 4 by 5 1/4; papers by K& Co.
yellow checkered border strip cut at 1 3/4 by 5 1/4
Giraffe cut at 2.75 inches from Create A Critter cartridge

The sentiment, "Sparkling Birthday Wishes" is from The Scrapbooking Queen's Royal Shoppe and is on the stamp set that is called "The Queen's Birthday".  Check out The Queen's amazing stamps by clicking on the link above.

I hope everyone has a chance to get in your craft room or craft area to help relieve the stress of an exhausting day.    Have a great week!

Caleb's Birthday Blog Hop

Welcome to a surprise Birthday Blog Hop for Caleb, my Design Team buddy over at The Scrapbooking Queen's Castle. You can visit Caleb on his blog, and wish him a Happy Birthday if you want. I know he'd love that. His blog is KIDS FOR CARDS.

If you arrived here from JILLIAN, then you're right on track! If not, start at the beginning with Theresa - The Scrapbooking Queen.

I have some BLOG CANDY up for grabs! But first, here is the birthday card I made for Caleb:

Recipe:  Card base cut at 4.5 by 11 and folded in half.  Stampin Up Cherry Cobbler cardstock was cut at 4 1/4 by 5 1/4 for the background mat and embossed with the Diamond Cuttlebug embossing folder.  The adorable CROWN was purchased at Michaels in the Embellishment section and it is made by Recollections.  The strip for the sentiment was cut at 3/4 inch by five inches and layered on the background mat.  The red diamond stones are from my stash.  The sentiment, "Happy Birthday, Prince" is from the Prince's Birthday stamp set from The Scrapbooking Queen's ROYAL SHOPPE.

Caleb is The Prince of our Royal Court and he makes the greatest cards you have ever seen.  I think Caleb is going to be a famous artist one day because he is so creative and he has a great eye for colors!  Caleb makes great videos too.

Caleb, you are truly a prince to me.  I love you, my friend, just the way you are.

For my Blog Candy, I am giving away, to one lucky winner, a K& Company "Color Basic" Designer Mat Pad.  It has 18 sheets of double sided card stock and the sheets measure 4.75 by 6.75.  It will be great for spring and summer cards!

All you have to do is become a follower on Caleb's blog and leave him a comment!  Easy peasy!  Caleb's Mom and I will select one lucky winner using random.org.  You can visit Caleb's blog at KIDS FOR CARDS.

Your next stop is VICKY.

For my card, I used the 3 Birds On Parade cartridge and cut the bird at 3 1/4 inches.  The background mat is from a paper collection from Basic Grey called "Cupcake".  I just love the bright colors.  The bow is from the children's craft section at Michaels.  The twine on the button is also from THE ROYAL SHOPPE.

I think this card is fit for a Queen, so "bring on the Queen's cupcakes!

Meow!

Well, happy Sunday!  I have been "on a roll" in the craft room making cards lately.  I dug out the Cricut Lite Meow cartridge to see what little kitties I wanted to play with.

I have been trying to use up my scrap pile.....so all of the papers used on this card were from the scrap drawer.

The dresser (with cat) was cut at 3 1/4 inches.  It was pretty easy to put together.  Card measures 4 1/4 by 5 1/2 using red cardstock.  Background mat measures 4 by 5 1/4 and is a soft subtle pink.  Cat paws measures 1 1/4 by 5 1/4 and was adhered on the bottom of pink background mat.  Then I added some white rickrack just for fun.  Yellow button and red twine were from my stash.  I popped up the dresser with foam tape.

The sentiment, "Cat Nap" is from CARDZTV Here Kitty Stamp set.

Hope you get a chance to relax, spend time with your family, and enjoy the day!

Summer Vacation card

If you are looking for Paper Playtime Challenge #74 click HERE!

Happy Friday everyone!  As the week draws closer to the weekend, I just want to say a "Happy Mother's Day" to all the Moms out there!

I have been busy in the craft room this week...made 5 cards today!

For the card that I made below, I decided to make "sand" background paper for the bottom of the card.  I am so thankful for Tim Holtz Distress Ink.  The words "written" in the sand are from Mary at CARDZTV stamps.  The stamp set is called "Fun in the Sun".

The chair was cut at 3 1/2 inches from the Life's A Beach Cricut cartridge.  The flip flops were cut from the same cartridge at 3/4 inch.  The sentiment "Summer Vacation" is also from the same stamp set.

Hope you guys get a chance to play in your craft room this weekend!

Happy Wednesday Everyone!

I have been able to create a few cards the last few days for a pen pal group that I am a member.  The weather has been beautiful and I have noticed a lot of gals wearing their flip flops and shorts lately.

Flip Flops cut at 2 inches from Life's A Beach cartridge
Background mat cut at 4 by 5 1/4
"Sand" paper cut at three inches and torn by hand to create jagged edge
Rhinestones from Forever in Time Bling set
Sentiment "flip flops" from Cardztv Fun in the Sun Stamp Set

I have really had a lot of fun with the "Fun in the Sun" stamp set by Cardztv.  I will show you a card I made using the sentiments on this stamp set to create a background tomorrow.  You can check out Mary's stamp sets HERE!

Have a Happy Day

If you are looking for the Paper Playtime Challenge No. 73 & Blog hop, Click HERE!

Hello Everyone!

It is Tuesday evening and Saturday is National Scrapbook Day!  Woo Hoo!

To celebrate this occasion, I decided to make a "funky" card....as in 70's style...as in...GROOVY.

Don't you just love it!  I promise it will keep you awake at night!  All papers were from my scrap paper drawers...what I do not use up by the end of this week is getting donated!

The mushroom was cut from the Paisley cartridge at 3 1/4 inches.  I decided to be different and cut the grass out of yellow cardstock!

The sentiment, "Springtime Hugs" is from CARDZTV "Think Spring" stamp set.

Hope all of you have a great week!
