For this challenge, I chose to make a card for a friend who needs some royal treatment right now...

This A2 size card was so quick and easy to make.  I used the Nifty Fifties cartridge and cut the dress form and dress out at 3 1/2 inches.  The dress was embossed with the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder.  The sentiment, "You deserve the Royal Treatment" is from The Scrapbooking Queen's Royal Sayings Stamp Set.  You can check out all of her stamps at the Royal Castle Shoppe here at  http://www.thescrapbookingqueen-royalshoppe.blogspot.com/

Congratulations!

I just love it when someone strives to reach a goal and through hard work and perseverance, they actually accomplish that goal.  It could be anything from losing 5 pounds to get in that dress size, learning a new language, figuring out how to program the remote so the TV will work (I still call hubby for that one!) ....

Frogs leap.  They don't hop.  They leap.  As you leap from goal to goal....just think....how empowering it is.  Work hard. Go the distance. Stay the course. I taught my son these principles all through his childhood and I am proud to say that he learned these principles.  As a young adult, he is still setting goals, working hard, staying the course.

This card is for you son.

With all my love,

Mom

CardzTV Ch#8 Color Me A Rainbow

It is time for Mary's Cardztv Challenge.....and I just love this theme!  Create a card, or craft project for any occasion using the colors of the rainbow:  green, yellow, pink, and blue ONLY....You may also add small amounts of black and white if you need to.

For this challenge, I chose to make an A2 size card.  It took me awhile to find some pattern paper with the four colors.  Once I selected the paper, the image and the rest of the card was easy!

The paper is from the DCWV Flower Shower Spring Stack.  Card Base is white cardstock. Background mat is 4 1/8 by 5 3/8.  Blue background mat is 4 by 5 1/4.  Pattern paper is cut at 3 inches by 3 3/4 and layered on top of blue mat.  The flower is cut at 3 3/4 inches using the Bloom cartridge.  Little bird is cut out of the pattern paper and adhered to the bottom corner.

The sentiment, Love you, Friend is from Cardztv Good Friends Stamp set.

Venture over to Mary's blog and play along with us.  The challenge is for the 20th, 21st and 22nd of April.  On Monday, Mary will select a winner of the Cardztv Stamp set (of your choice) to one lucky winner who submits a project.

Come join us and have some crafty fun!

Paper Playtime Ch #72

Good morning my friends!  It is time for our challenge with the "Say It With Sentiments" Design Team over at Paper Playtime.  Although I am not on this part of of our team, I have so much fun with Janis and the other members that I usually play along too!

Our theme for this challenge is BIRTHDAYS!!!  Whoopee!  My birthday is during the month of April and spring is my favorite time of year.  I love to watch all things "nature" come alive after the cold days of winter.

What is a birthday without a party?  I love birthday parties....the cake, the friends, singing "Happy Birthday" and.....the cute party hats!

Card is featured on the Birthday Bash cricut cartridge and was cut at 4 1/4.  It fits beautifully in an A2 size envelope.  Dog cut at 3 inches using the same cartridge.  The Party Hats and white snowy looking embellishments are from K & Company.

The sentiment "Party Time!" is from Mary's Cardztv Make a Wish stamp set.  You can check out her amazing stamps at cardztvstamps.blogspot.com here.  She just came out with four more adorable sets and I cannot wait to use them!

52 Tag in 2012

It is time for our challenge at PauseDreamEnjoy.blogspot.com!!!  The theme for this week's 52 Tags in 2012 Challenge is to make a tag with a water animal...which could be a duck, fish, turtle...anything that resides or partially resides in water!

I made this tag in memory of my Mom.  She died of breast cancer and complications from a wound infection in 1995.  When she found out that the cancer had spread to her brain, she decided to go to Hawaii.  She went scuba diving and dove for coral so she could have a pair of coral earrings made for me.  She told me all about the beautiful fish, sea creatures and seahorses she saw underwater.  My Mom passed away one month after returning from Hawaii and those earrings were the last gift she gave to me.

Do you have a memory like this that you would love to pass on to your children and family?  That is why I love paper crafting.  I have not shared this story with my son....and I remembered it when I found out what Janis' theme was for this week.

Please join us if you can.  This is a great way to record those cherished moments of your life with the people you love.

The prize for the month of April is:
APRIL SPONSOR:

Darlene is sponsoring our April Tags!
One lucky USA tag participant will win

Echo Park's SWEET SUMMERTIME paper stack! Awesome! (Wish I could win. LOL)
Thank you so much, Darlene! Someone is going to LOVE this!!

Happy Wednesday!

Happy Wednesday!  It is almost time for the weekend!  High five!!!

I am trying to use up all of my scraps.  I watched a video last night on YouTube where psychomoms made notepads using all the paper that we accumulate but choose not to use.  I saved the video to my favorites and plan on making some note pads like she did.

I cannot even begin to tell you how I made this card, except the hand is cut at 4 inches from the Ole' cartridge.  All the other stuff was in the "scrap drawer".  I love this floral paper and it looks like it is from a paper collection kit I purchased a few years ago from Crate Paper.

The sentiment stamp, "Blessings" is from one of Mary's Cardztv Stamps.  I believe it is the Encouraging Thoughts stamp set.

Happy Wednesday!

Owl Be There

Happy Monday everyone!  I hope everything had a wonderful holiday....I felt so fortunate to be able to spend time with my precious son.  I do not get to see him very often.  I made several cards like this one and gave him a card similar to this one with his chocolate goodies he always receives on Easter from me.

Hope you guys have a great week!  Thank you so much for stopping by!

Hello everyone!  Happy April!  Ok...what was the BEST April Fools prank you heard about?  A friend of mine changed her relationship status from single to married on Facebook and kept us guessing all day.  Finally , someone figured out it was April Fool's Day!  She really had us "going" for a few hours!!!

It is time for our challenge at PauseDreamEnjoy.blogspot.com!!!  The theme for this week's 52 Tags in 2012 Challenge is :  April Showers.  Super fun!  In Texas, with the recent rains we have received, the grass is green, bluebonnets are blooming...and these teenie weenie gnats are flying around everywhere.

Tag was cut at 5 1/2 inches using Tags Bags Boxes and More #1 Cartridge...cute little frog cut at 2.75 inches from the CampinCritters cartridge, paper, ribbon, and flowers are from stash.

Our sponsor for this challenge is Pam with Simply Pam's Creations.  She is giving away (3) Petaloo floral trim:

All you have to do to be eligible to win:
1) Be a FOLLOWER of Paper Playtime
