TSQ's Royal Digi Challenge#4

Hello my friends!  Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday weekend!

Are you ready for The Scrapbooking Queen's Challenge No. 4?

Our challenge for this month is to make a project with any theme that you like.  Anything goes!  For my project, I chose to make two cards.  One is a Christmas card and the other card is friendship card using pre-colored digital images from Meljen's Designs.

I absolutely love Meljen's Designs stamps.  You can check them out HERE.  Although I just love my Cricut, I love digital stamps too!
It is so easy to size and print them out, a little glitter, a little shadowing and VOILA!  A quick card!

Both cards are A2 size cards.  All papers were from my paper scrap pile.  I used Ranger Stickles to bling up the images.  "Noel" sentiment stamped on the Christmas Wreath is from Cardztv Holly Jolly stamp set.  I stamped it with Stampin Up Ruby Red ink.  Red Ribbon is from the scrap ribbon pile.
For the snowman card, all I did was print it, punch is out with a circle punch, add some "Diamond" Stickles and I was done!  I created the lines on snow on the bottom of the card with a Martha Stewart Snowflake Border punch.

I cannot wait to see what each of you submit....Anything Goes!

Best Friends

Don't you just love Besties?  I do not know what I would do without my girlfriends.  They rock!
I made this card for a very special friend.  It was so much fun to put together.  All the papers I used came from my scrap drawer.      Whatever is left in that drawer by the end of the year is being tossed in the trash can!

Hope you guys have a great day!

January calendar

I purchased the Designer's Calendar cartridge in 2010 and made a calendar page for every month in 2011 and placed it on the wall in my craft room.  I am going to continue the same tradition for 2012 but decided to share the layout I create for each month.

Recipe is as follows:

1 sheet white 12 by 12 cardstock
background mat K& Co. Wintertide paper cut 11.75 by 11.75
Grid for days of the month cut at five inches, background mat behind grid also cut at 5 inches
numbers cut at .75 inches
days of the week cut at 1 inch
"January" cut at 2.25 inches
Snowflakes cut from Potpourri cartridge at 3 inches
Snowman cut from Smiley Cards cartridge at 5 inches

There are a few things I have learned about this cartridge:
It has many many one or two layer images on it
It has some great phrases and a money sign which I love
Do not EVER cut those numbers smaller than three quarters of an inch...they will tear to pieces
Grid cannot be cut smaller than five inches because the letters cannot be cut any smaller than .75 inches
There are many different fonts on this cartridge

For some reason, I really really enjoy making the calendar each month.  Consequently, I have ventured out and have started making layouts.  It is so much fun!

Thank you for dropping by to see my latest creation.  Each one of you inspire me so much!

CARDZTV Design Team Christmas Blog Hop

Welcome to the Cardztv Design Team Christmas Blog Hop!

You should have arrived here from Nicole's Blog, if you just happened to come upon my post and wish to start at the beginning, please start at Mary's Blog here.

For my project, I chose to make a Christmas card.  This is an A2 size card.  I cut two sets of trees, one set at 3.5 inches and the other set at 3.0 inches from the Cricut Potpourri cartridge.  For the snow border, I used a Martha Stewart snowflake and embossing punch that I purchased at Tuesday Morning last year for $3.00!  What a bargain!

The sentiment, "Tis The Season" is from Cardztv Holly Jolly stamp set.  Mary is giving this stamp set as one of the giveaways along with the Cricut Seasonal Gingerbread cartridge.  Woo hoo!  I am sponsoring a paper collection pack, Crate Paper Northpole Collection pack as a prize as well.  In order to win, you will need to leave a comment on each design team members post and Mary will draw the winners and announce them on her blog.

For my blog candy:

I will be giving away a Christmas Paper Pack Collection that has double sided papers, buttons, ribbon, embellishments and lots more!   All you need to do is become a follower and leave me a comment!  Easy peasey!

Paper Playtime Ch# 62 - Christmas with Buttons

Ho ho ho!  It is almost Christmas!  Thank you so much everyone, for coming by and visiting the Here We Come A Caroling  blog hop sponsored by The Scrapbooking Queen.  A special shout out to my crafty friends who participated with me.  I just loved all of your projects!

Paper Playtime's Challenge #62 is a Christmas theme using buttons.  You can  make any project as long as it contains buttons!  I have seen some amazing projects some of our scrap sisters have made with buttons.  Altered frames, Christmas tree ornaments, wall hangings, banners, door wreaths, and shaped Christmas tree decor with nothing but buttons!  How cool is that?

I chose to make a card.  I love sending Christmas cards and plan to make 75 cards.  I have made 25 so far so I better get busy!

I recently discovered the Cricut Celebrate with Flourish in my Cricut Library and cut this tree out at 4 inches.  It is very narrow so I found the perfect background paper from the Recollections Sugar and Spice Christmas paper stack.  Striped ribbon, two buttons, and voila!  Quick card!

The sentiment is from the Home For Christmas stamp set from Cardztv Stamps.  This stamp set is my favorite "go to" stamp set for Christmas.  You can see all of Mary's stamp sets at her blog store Cardz TV Stamps.

I cannot wait to see your project for our challenge!

Here We Come A Caroling

Welcome to The Scrapbooking Queen's Here We Come a Caroling Blog Hop!  We hope you enjoy all the adorable projects everyone has made for this hop.

I just love Christmas carols.  My mother used to sing them to me as a child.  We would sit around the piano while my sister or I played  and everyone would sing.  One of my favorite songs is I'LL BE HOME FOR CHRISTMAS.  This song was originally written for the soldiers in mind during World War II because they could only be home in their dreams. The song was originally sung by Bing Crosby. To this day I can hear Bing  Crosby singing this song with the John Trotter Orchestra.

I made the above A2 size card with a front door in mind and a wreath.  The wreath was cut from the Cricut Celebrate with Flourish glitter paper at 3.5 inches.  Poinsetta flower is from K and Company.  The sentiment is from Cardz TV Home for Christmas Stamp Set.

For my giveaway, I'll be choosing 1 winner with a
