Paper Playtime Challenge #71

Welcome to another Paper Playtime challenge!  The theme for this challenge is to make a project with an umbrella on it.  Spring has sprung and so has the rain!!!  Time to play!

I chose to use the cute birdie with umbrella and rain boots from the 3 Birds on Parade cartridge and it was cut at three inches.  The cute background paper was given to me by Janis last summer....just love this paper!  All papers, button and bow were from my stash.  The phrase "Splash Time" was cut at 1 1/2 inches in both shadow and base cut.  I used the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder for the border on the bottom.

Our sponsor for this challenge is Pam with Simply Pam's Creations.  She is giving away (3) Petaloo floral trim:

All you have to do to be eligible to win:
1) Be a FOLLOWER of Paper Playtime
2) Submit a NEW Project within our theme (no back links)

Hope you guys have a great crafty day!

A Note of Encouragement

Happy Friday everyone!
Since the weather is supposed to be nice in most States this weekend, I hope many of you get a chance to get outside and enjoy the spring weather.  The month of March is the time where most of the birds migrate from Mexico to the United States and I cannot wait for the hummingbirds to arrive.

I notice a cute little brown sparrow building a nest inside a bird house that we have hanging on the back porch.  It made me wonder how many miles these little birds have to fly to arrive to their summer home.

Hence, the above card is.....SUPER BIRD!  lol

Bird is cut at 1 3/4 inches using 3 Birds on Parade.  All papers are from my scraps.  Wing was embossed with the Tiny Bubbles Cuttlebug Embossing folder.  I inked everything....and of course, what is a super bird without Stickles?  Flower embellishment is from the bottom of a drawer.  It was laying there STUCK...fell off of something so I recycled it.

Have a great day everyone!  Don't forget to check back tomorrow for Mary at Cardztv's Spring Blog Hop.

Look Who's One

Isn't he just the cutest?

This cute bird was cut at 4 inches using the 3 Birds On Parade cartridge.  The wings and blanket were embossed with the Swiss Dots embossing folder and  his adorable little feet were embossed with the Tiny Bubbles embossing folder.  Background mat, cut at 5.25 by 4.0 is from a Martha Stewart Paper Collection pack.  Yellow ribbon and card is from my stash.

The sentiment, "Look Who's One!" is  from "Make A Wish" stamp set from Mary's Cardz TV Stamps! Click Here to see all her stamps she has to offer. I love them!

Hope each and every one of you have an awesome day!
