A Bouquet of Thoughts

How is everyone this fine day?  Don't you just love my card shown above?  I wish I had made it under better circumstances.  The is a major fire going on in New Mexico called the Little Bear Fire.  Little Bear is the name of the mountain range where the fire began.  Lightening started the fire and it spread down toward the Alto/Nogal/Ruidoso area.  Right now, it is 40% contained.  To date, more than 38000 acres have burned and approximately 275 homes.

A very dear friend of mine, Ev, unfortunately lost her home in the fire.  She lost everything.  All that is left is ashes.  In her subdivision, over 90 homes and outbuilding were lost.

The Scrapbooking Queen's sentiment from the Royal Garden set, was the perfect sentiment for this card.  I reviewed this amazing stamp set and created the card from the sentiment.  My friend is currently staying with friends in Ruidoso so I am hopeful this card will let her know how much we care.

The bouquet was cut at 3 1/4 inches using the Freshly Picked cartridge.  The green background paper was sent to me by my dear friend, Susan P.  The dew drops and the sentiment are products that are sold in the ROYAL SHOPPE.  Here is a picture of this amazing stamp set.

I urge each and every one of you to count your blessings.  This wildfire made me realize how many things I take for granted.   Have a great weekend everyone!
