Happy Birthday Beautiful!
Happy Thursday everyone! I have several friends who are having birthdays in the month of September and figured that I should get busy making cards! So, I grabbed one of my favorite stamp sets from The Scrapbooking Queen and selected a sentiment from the Royal Princess stamp set.
I used cardstock that was in my paper scrap drawer to make this card. I am still trying to use up all of my scrap paper! This cute little princess was cut from the Paper Doll Dress Up Cricut cartridge at 3.25 inches. Most of the scrap paper was Recollections and those adorable dew drops and the stamp set are available at The Queen's Royal Shoppe. You can check out all of her amazing products HERE.
Please check back tomorrow for another adorable card that I made using The Queen's Royal Stamps!

Lazy Days of August
Happy Monday everyone!
I make a calendar for my craft room every month. I always use Designer's Calendar cartridge to make the grid and numbers for the days of the month and days of each week. This cartridge also has a lot of extras on it that often go unnoticed.
My calendar pages are always 12 by 12 and I mount them on a magnet board from Creative Memories which is hung on the wall.
Hope everyone has a great week!

Oh, For those Hatch Chiles!
There is nothing better than great chilies. The town of Hatch, New Mexico harvests the best green chilies that I have ever tasted. Hatch chilies are the best. After moving back to Texas, it is more difficult to find these chilies. Good green chilies are not hot, nor are they spicy. They have a distinct flavor unlike other chiles.
In celebration of the harvest this month, I decided to make a card to send to a friend who lives in New Mexico.
No sentiment required: this card says it all. I miss those chilies!

Hoppy Birthday!
I have several friends who are having birthdays this month so I decided to make some birthday cards. I started out with this cute Cricut image and what was supposed to be a quick project...turned into a nightmare! Do you ever have days like that? Eventually, and I do mean eventually, I was able to make this card. The rabbit/mouse/bird came from the Give a Hoot cartridge (I think). Background mat was cut from the Elegant Edges cartridges in both shadow and oblong cuts at 4.25 inches. The sentiment, "Hoppy Birthday" came from Cardztv's "Critter Captions" stamp set. You can check out her amazing stamp sets HERE.
Tomorrow....it is off to the craft room to make some more birthday cards...and hopefully, my mojo will return! Have a great day!

Summer Vacation
For those folks with children of school age.....school is just around the corner. I went to Big Lots today to find parents buying school supplies. School supplies. Really? One woman had six kids. SIX! How in the world does one afford school supplies for six kids?
Fuel prices are rising daily in anticipation of the last summer vacation. When my son was in school, we always went on vacation the first two weeks in August to beat the summer heat. My son's favorite part of vacation was going to the beach or to the lake.
Recipe
4 inch by 4 inch card in blue cardstock
lime green background mat cut at 3 7/8 by 3 7/8
orange background mat cut at 3.75 by 3.75
blue cloud mat cut at 3.5 by 3.5
sailboat and wave cut from ??? cartridge at 2.75 inches
(yes, I can't remember the cartridge...)
Sentiment "Summer Vacation" from CARDZTV stamps
What are you going to do for summer vacation? I can hear the waves crashing on the shore....that would be my idea of a perfect vacation...the beach!
