Scraplift Series No. 1

So, how is everyone this wonderful fine day?  I am in the mood for Winnie the Pooh!

I watch a lot of YouTube videos and peruse a lot of blogs throughout the day.  I scraplifted this card idea from

Because I am such a "Kopykat", I decided to have a series of cards I will be making using other crafty friend's ideas!  Doesn't that sound like fun?  I will also link your card/project from my post so anyone can go and see your project and get some inspiration as well!

Janis made a tall card and I chose to make an A2 size card.  Pooh was cut from the Pooh and Friends cartridge at 2.50 inches.  The log was cut at 2.0 inches.  Card base is Recollections cardstock.  Grass was cut from Pooh and Friends at 2 inches and 1 inch.

Sentiment Stamp from "Encouraging Thoughts" stamp set from Mary's Cardz TV Stamps! Click Here to see all her stamps she has to offer. I love them!

The adorable epoxy stickers (inch worm and dragonfly) are from a Jolene's Bugs Sticker set that I purchased on sale at Hobby Lobby last summer.  They are so cute!

You, my crafty sisters, ROCK!  When I started paper crafting in 2009, I had absolutely no idea what to do or where to start.  I have learned so so much from all of you!  Thank you to those who dedicate themselves to blogging regularly, make videos, post projects, compliment us on ours (even if they are ugly) and spread inspiration to others.  I hope your day today is as rich as mine.

It Snowed in my Neck of the Woods!

I live in a state where we do not get much snow.  Well, guess what?  We got snow!
It melted off by noon the next day...but it was so nice to look outside and watch the snow fall from the sky.

To celebrate, I took pictures to mail to a friend and the card shown above.

A2 size card  which measures 5 1/2 by 4 1/4.  Pink background mat cute at 4 by 5 1/4.  Snow pattern paper cut at 3 3/4 by 5 and layered on top of pink mat.  Snowman cut at 4 inches using the Smiley Cards cartridge.

Has it snowed in your neck of the woods today?

Look Who's One

Isn't he just the cutest?

This cute bird was cut at 4 inches using the 3 Birds On Parade cartridge.  The wings and blanket were embossed with the Swiss Dots embossing folder and  his adorable little feet were embossed with the Tiny Bubbles embossing folder.  Background mat, cut at 5.25 by 4.0 is from a Martha Stewart Paper Collection pack.  Yellow ribbon and card is from my stash.

The sentiment, "Look Who's One!" is  from "Make A Wish" stamp set from Mary's Cardz TV Stamps! Click Here to see all her stamps she has to offer. I love them!

Hope each and every one of you have an awesome day!

Believe

It is snowing!  Hard to believe in my neck of the woods!

I have several friends that are going through difficult times.  Some have been struck with a debilitating illness, some are having marital problems, and some are experiencing the loss of a job.  All are discouraged and frightened.

We have all been there at some time in our lives.

And the only response I can say to their words is:

Believe.

Things always seem to work out, no matter how big or small.

Dog Days

Have you ever challenged someone just for fun? My new friend, SusanP and I live in separate states but have become crafty sisters as we are both on a Design Team together.

I "challenged" her, last Monday, to make a card with a sun on it.  We have a mutual friend that has not been feeling well and decided to send her a card.  I know it will not help her circumstances but hope it will make her smile.

What is cuter than a puppy dog?  The dog was cut from the Cricut Create a Critter cartridge at 2.75 inches.  Sun cut from the same cartridge at 1.75 inches.  Background mat for this A2 size card is from the DCWV Pet Mat Stack.

The sentiment, "Dog Days", is from the Cardz TV Stamps Barks and Bones Stamp set from Cardztv.  Mary's stamps are amazing!

What are you going to do for a friend today?

Simply Crafts January Challenge

.
Pam and Glora of Simply-Crafts Challenge have announced the challenge for this month on their blog.  The challenge is the cupcake cut with the heart on it from the Sweet Treats Cricut cartridge.  If you don't have this cartridge, you can make any project with a cupcake on it.

My submission for this challenge is an A2 size card.  The card base is Recollections Kraft Cardstock.  Background mat, cut at 4 by 5 1/4, is from the For The Record Paper Collection by Echo Park.   The cupcake was cut at 2 3/4 inches.  The heart was embossed with the Swiss Dot Cuttlebug folder and Glossy Accents applied to the heart and allowed to dry overnight.  Frosting portion of the cupcake was embossed with the Divine Swirls Cuttlebug folder.  Red buttons from stash.

I was amazed at how easy and quick it was to make this card.  I plan on making a few more of these to keep in my stash.  Birthday cards are always something we need to keep on hand.
.

The giveaway for this month's challenge is from The Girls' Paperie collection.  It includes Die Cuts, Chipboard, Flower Market and Glitter Charms from this collection.  To be eligible for the giveaway, you need to submit your project before the deadline on January 17th and be a follower of the blog.

Come on out and join us in the fun!
