Paper Playtime Challenge #5

WHAT'S UP BUTTERCUPS?
I am SO READY for Spring!  Warm weather,  trees budding leaves, grass turning green, tulips blooming, birds singing....Did I mention BIRDS?

Listed below is the information for Challenge No. 5!

Ch#5 Anything Goes
Begins: Mon, Mar 4
Ends: Sun, Mar 17
Prize $15 Gift Cert. from The Robin's Nest
Winner announced in the WINNERS Page Tab

Here's what I created for this challenge:

I found these adorable foil stickers on sale at Hobby Lobby a week or so ago.  I guess "foil" is the next big thing...there are foil embellishments and paper with foil touches in abundance at the craft stores!

There is not much of a recipe to this one.  My craft room is in major OVERHAUL (how exhausting) and Mr. Cricut Expression is packed up since we are painting the room.  All of the papers are scraps, including the ribbon, that was just laying around.  The one thing I have kept organized is my CARDZTV stamps!

The sentiment, "You're so TWEET!" is from the FOR THE BIRDS stamp set:

You can SHOP HERE to purchase Mary's stamp sets.

Come join us and submit your project!

Kopy Kat Series No. 2

Kopykat Series

Last year, I started a project that I called the Kopykat Series.  There are many crafters that I admire and respect.  I have scraplifted many projects from some of my Youtube and Bloggy friends.

I watched this video several years ago and it was the video that taught me how to make an Easel card.  I came across the video again on Youtube and decided to share it with you:

EASTER PEDESTAL CARD BY MARY AT CARDZTV

My friend, Susan, from Itsmesusanp, and I "challenged" each other to make a kopykat card just for fun and to have it posted on Sunday.  I quickly remembered Mary's video and decided to duplicate the card.  Here is my version of the card:

I did not have the plaid background paper like Mary used so I decided to use Bahama Blue from Stampin Up for the background paper.  The "Happy Easter", Lamb, and Grass are cut according to Mary's specification from the Easter 2010 card.  Mary used larger pastel colored buttons, but these mini buttons were the only ones I had in stock in my craft room.  I put googlie eyes on the lamb to balance the lamb's face with her body.

Susan should have her post up sometime today.  If you get a chance, check out her post HERE..

Susan and I had a lot of fun playing along with each other.  That is one thing I love about my crafty friends.  Although we live in different states, we are truly "besties" in many ways.

Hope you have a super special Sunday!!!
