Bananas!

Happy Thursday!  Just wanted to take a minute to let you know that we will be having a BRAND NEW Challenge tomorrow at Cardz TV!

Now isn't this just the cutest card?  I love it!  I had SO MUCH FUN making it using my scraps!  I forgot to take a picture of the inside of the card, but the sentiment says "You have great taste!"  Isn't that hilarious?

The sentiment stamps are from  Cardztv "FAQ's" and "Foodie Punnies" stamp sets....so much fun!  You can see all of the great stamp sets Mary has for sale HERE.

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Happy Wednesday!

Happy Wednesday!  It is almost time for the weekend!  High five!!!

I am trying to use up all of my scraps.  I watched a video last night on YouTube where psychomoms made notepads using all the paper that we accumulate but choose not to use.  I saved the video to my favorites and plan on making some note pads like she did.

I cannot even begin to tell you how I made this card, except the hand is cut at 4 inches from the Ole' cartridge.  All the other stuff was in the "scrap drawer".  I love this floral paper and it looks like it is from a paper collection kit I purchased a few years ago from Crate Paper.

The sentiment stamp, "Blessings" is from one of Mary's Cardztv Stamps.  I believe it is the Encouraging Thoughts stamp set.

Happy Wednesday!

Owl Be There

Happy Monday everyone!  I hope everything had a wonderful holiday....I felt so fortunate to be able to spend time with my precious son.  I do not get to see him very often.  I made several cards like this one and gave him a card similar to this one with his chocolate goodies he always receives on Easter from me.

Hope you guys have a great week!  Thank you so much for stopping by!

What would we do without friends?

I am the luckiest person in the world.  I have the best crafty friends.  As some of you know, I have a neurological disorder that makes it difficult for me to use my hands.  Some days they work reasonably well, some days they do not.  One of the hardest things for me to do is grip ANYTHING.  Major frustration!  That is why I love pre-colored digital images so much.
Imagine my surprise when I recently received some goodie boxes recently from Theresa (The Scrapbooking Queen) and Janis (PauseDreamEnjoy).  Theresa colored some digital images and sent them to me with lots of other items to make it easier to craft.  Janis sent me some labels so that I would be able to stamp a sentiment on the label and place it on the card.
The above digital image is an example of one that Theresa colored and sent to me.  Isn't he cute!  The mat he is adhered to is one of the one that Janis sent me.
Thank you so much, ladies, for being so awesome!  I have been having so much fun with my goodies!

Smile!

Smile!  You are on Candid Camera!  I bet some of you young 'uns do not even remember that television show.  It was one of my Mom's favorites.  I am sure that MTV has a similar show now...

So, how do you like my card?  Smile!  This A2 size card was cut at 4 1/4 by 11 and folded in half to make it 4 1/4 by 5 1/2.  "Smile" was cut from the Create A Critter cartridge at 2 inches.  Sun was cut from the same cartridge at 1 3/4 inches.

Hope you have a fabulous Sunday...and don't forget....SMILE!

Scraplift Series No. 1

So, how is everyone this wonderful fine day?  I am in the mood for Winnie the Pooh!

I watch a lot of YouTube videos and peruse a lot of blogs throughout the day.  I scraplifted this card idea from

Because I am such a "Kopykat", I decided to have a series of cards I will be making using other crafty friend's ideas!  Doesn't that sound like fun?  I will also link your card/project from my post so anyone can go and see your project and get some inspiration as well!

Janis made a tall card and I chose to make an A2 size card.  Pooh was cut from the Pooh and Friends cartridge at 2.50 inches.  The log was cut at 2.0 inches.  Card base is Recollections cardstock.  Grass was cut from Pooh and Friends at 2 inches and 1 inch.

Sentiment Stamp from "Encouraging Thoughts" stamp set from Mary's Cardz TV Stamps! Click Here to see all her stamps she has to offer. I love them!

The adorable epoxy stickers (inch worm and dragonfly) are from a Jolene's Bugs Sticker set that I purchased on sale at Hobby Lobby last summer.  They are so cute!

You, my crafty sisters, ROCK!  When I started paper crafting in 2009, I had absolutely no idea what to do or where to start.  I have learned so so much from all of you!  Thank you to those who dedicate themselves to blogging regularly, make videos, post projects, compliment us on ours (even if they are ugly) and spread inspiration to others.  I hope your day today is as rich as mine.

It Snowed in my Neck of the Woods!

I live in a state where we do not get much snow.  Well, guess what?  We got snow!
It melted off by noon the next day...but it was so nice to look outside and watch the snow fall from the sky.

To celebrate, I took pictures to mail to a friend and the card shown above.

A2 size card  which measures 5 1/2 by 4 1/4.  Pink background mat cute at 4 by 5 1/4.  Snow pattern paper cut at 3 3/4 by 5 and layered on top of pink mat.  Snowman cut at 4 inches using the Smiley Cards cartridge.

Has it snowed in your neck of the woods today?

Believe

It is snowing!  Hard to believe in my neck of the woods!

I have several friends that are going through difficult times.  Some have been struck with a debilitating illness, some are having marital problems, and some are experiencing the loss of a job.  All are discouraged and frightened.

We have all been there at some time in our lives.

And the only response I can say to their words is:

Believe.

Things always seem to work out, no matter how big or small.

PINK JOURNEY

Sadly, I received a phone call from a friend recently.  She was diagnosed with breast cancer about 3 years ago and underwent a lumpectomy, chemo and radiation.  Since that time, her tests have been clean.  Last Friday she went to the oncologist for her six month checkup and the mammogram, CT, and MRI revealed that the cancer has returned.  She is so scared and discouraged as she faces more surgery, chemo, and radiation.  I quickly pulled out my Cricut Pink Journey cartridge and made this card.  She is a cowgirl, rides horses, breaks colts, and is tough as a boot.  So, I used pink zebra paper and blue denim paper.

Her name is Lea.  We call her "mother chicken", as she always is rescuing someone who is down-and-out.  My DH is making a big pot of beans and some mexican cornbread to take to her with this card.  Please pray for her if you get a chance.
