Die Cuttin Divas Challenge #169

Hello!  Happy Friday!

My apologies for being gone from my blog for so long.  We have been busy doing some remodeling on the house and spring/summer cleaning and organizing.  Now that most of the projects are completed, it is time to get back to crafting!

Die Cuttin Divas is having a challenge and my friend, Susan, challenged me to make a project for this challenge!  The theme of Challenge #169 is to use black with one other color.

Here is my card for this challenge:

INSIDE OF CARD

I decided to make a Father's Day card for my dearest.  Since he is a cowboy....this card is perfect!  I chose to use ivory as the other color and although it looks white in these pictures, it is actually ivory.

Ready Set Stamp's Blog Anniversary Blog Hop!

Hello Everyone!

Welcome to ReadySetStamp's Blog Anniversary Blog Hop! It has been 5 years since Julie started her blog! Where has the time gone? All of us have made so many crafty friends along the way! I discovered Julie's blog about 4 years ago and have watched her crafty talent evolve. She has established so many friendships in the crafty community and I, along with you, have learned so much!

The theme to celebrate this awesome occasion is "Anything Goes"! Julie is the crafty friend who encouraged me to try to creat 3D elements. Julie is truly the Queen of treat bags, gift boxes, and various 3D items. I decided to make a 3D Onesie Treat Box for a boy and a girl. They were so much fun and EASY PEASY to make!

The treat boxes were an SVG cut and was sized at 11.4 inches. The cut included 2 onesie treat boxes to fit on a 12 by 12 mat. There are only 3 pieces to each box. Super easy and quick to put together! The sentiment stamp is from CARDZTV "Oh Baby" stamp set.

This card was super easy to make as it is only two layers.  It is a free project in Design Space, which is the software program that the Cricut Explore uses.

CARDZTV Card Team Challenge #3

As you know,the CardzTV Design Team is separated into two teams:  one team provides super cute creative cards and the other team provides 3D projects to inspire you to create!  Each challenge begins on a Friday and runs for two weeks.

I recently purchased the Cricut Explore and designed this card in Design Space, which is the software program for the Explore.  I honestly cannot tell you what cartridge the giraffe came from.

Happy Weekend Everyone!!!   I know that most of  you have been experiencing cold...snowy...windy...weather...and it is still, well, nice...yes, NICE! where I live!

I have been one busy beaver in my craft room.

However..........this is not a crafty post...you will just have to check back later!

My son and daughter in law recently came home to visit and I did not take one picture of them!  They brought their two fur babies, Mae and Francie.....and Francie (as shown in picture) took a "nap" outside with her head resting on the door step that goes into the back yard!  She is a cutie!

Is the wind blowing in your neck of the woods?  The weather is warm here....but the March winds have arrived early!!

Here is a card I made using the Cricut Create A Critter cartridge and Cardztv Stamps.

I know it is a holiday for a lot of people but since I am retired, every day is a holiday!  Woo Hoo!

Happy Birthday Card

Hello Everyone!!!

I have been making cards like crazy!  Do you ever decide to do that?  I looked in my stash of cards and I was low on birthday cards.

Here is a card I recently made.  It is a little bit "mod"...but cute too!

All of the papers are from Recollections cardstock which can be purchased at Michaels.  I used two cricut cartridges for the clothes (Paisley) and the background mat in yellow and white was cut using Elegant Edges.  The sentiment, Happy Birthday, is from CARDZTV STAMPS.

This is one of my absolutely favorite stamp sets and I use it often.  It is applicable to almost every holiday!  It even has a stamp that says "Happy Everything!"   And, "So Happy for You!" could be used for graduation, a baby card, a job promotion, wedding, ....talk about versatile!!!

I will have another super cute birthday card to show you on Valentine's Day, so stay tuned!

A New Start; A New Year

Hello my crafty friends!  The past three months have been a whirlwind of things going on in my life.

My DH had major back surgery in October which necessitated a longer-than-normal recovery time.

I had a medical procedure as well and am feeling frisky once again!
