PINK JOURNEY

Sadly, I received a phone call from a friend recently.  She was diagnosed with breast cancer about 3 years ago and underwent a lumpectomy, chemo and radiation.  Since that time, her tests have been clean.  Last Friday she went to the oncologist for her six month checkup and the mammogram, CT, and MRI revealed that the cancer has returned.  She is so scared and discouraged as she faces more surgery, chemo, and radiation.  I quickly pulled out my Cricut Pink Journey cartridge and made this card.  She is a cowgirl, rides horses, breaks colts, and is tough as a boot.  So, I used pink zebra paper and blue denim paper.

Her name is Lea.  We call her "mother chicken", as she always is rescuing someone who is down-and-out.  My DH is making a big pot of beans and some mexican cornbread to take to her with this card.  Please pray for her if you get a chance.

PAPER PLAYTIME CHALLENGE

This week at PAPER PLAYTIME the challenge is to make a TALL card.
I made 2 different ones just because Tall cards are so fun to make.
The first card I made using the GATOR cut from CREATE A CRITTER on page 45.
SMILE is also cut from page 45.
Ribbon, buttons, and bling were added tot his fun stripped paper.

This second was also tons of fun to make.
All of these cuts are from COUNTRY LIFE.
The sun and textured hills were cut from page 72.
I ran the different layers through the Cuttlebug.
The horse and fence are cut from page 38.
The horse is cut using glittered paper. So pretty!
"HAY there!" is a clear stamp I added using black ink.

Come play with us and submit your own TALL card this week!
